In an age where the vintage car hobby has exploded, there are many great stories to tell of enthusiasts who enjoy their cars with unbridled passion and dedication. Many of these old cars have had a colorful history, having been raced, repaired and handed down from one owner to the next, each individual lavishing their own personal care and attention, helping to preserve a piece of automotive history for subsequent owners and generations.

AUTO Biographies was formed out of a need to capture these stories by making available a format that was once the exclusive domain of movie stars, rock stars and sports personalities; the Personal Biographical Film. Thanks to digital technology this format now remains more readily accessible.

With a team of talented producers, editors, writers and camera crews, AUTO Biographies sets out to carefully craft the story behind the passion that drives individuals to collect, restore and race some of the world’s finest historic automobiles.
With both attention to detail and a big picture viewpoint we interview owners, their family and friends, and film them on the racetrack as they live out the pursuit of their childhood dreams. The result is a film that is both memorable and enduring; a film which can be viewed by friends and family on special occasions and which acts as a record of personal stewardship, telling yet another chapter in the love affair between man and the automobile.

Auto Biographies was conceived by veteran commercial film editor and historic auto enthusiast Nick Roveda.

Nick has enjoyed 20 years working as a film editor in commercials, documentaries and TV shows. His earliest memories of cars include cowering in the backseat of a Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 as it proceeded to spin 180 degrees across a narrow B-road in the English countryside as well as enjoying the thrill of watching the speedometer on his dad’s Ferrari move past the 200km/hr mark. His earliest memories of cars in film include Herbie the VW Beetle in The Love Bug and Kurt Russell’s dune buggy in the Computer Wore Tennis Shoes. He now has a weakness for early Porsche 911s.
